If you hear the call

By Vladimir Huber

Going back is not necessarily
going backwards
To climb a tree is not necessarily
getting higher
She can get higher
by digging a hole,
and go further
by returning.
But when the call
comes from up there,
there is no way to avoid it,
even though I’ve seen most of them
with the head in the sand
