You really scared me

By Vladimir Huber

Nobody knew,
if you were dead or alive.
Nobody knew,
what made you leave,
if it was that.
Nobody knew,
what to say, what to do.
We were in pain,
just waiting for your call,
if there was going to be any.
Or for the bad news.
Everything
went through my mind,
even, when I made them worry.
People are people,
but some hurt more.
How come,
with all this beauty,
has to come all this pain?
I guess, it’s the price
for happiness.
