Children?

By Vladimir Huber

Beautiful children get in the hands
of those who will tell them.
Discovery slips away
now a house is a house
and a bird, a bird.
They will have to go upstairs
and remain up there,
unless they turn bad.
Maybe, they will wait, too,
for dusk to come,
‘cause they can’t be children.
