We got closer
By Vladimir Huber
Everybody around a table
getting friendly, and smiling a lot.
Getting closer; that feeling
that gets you comfortable.
We saw each other in a different way.
We all looked different,
and that warmth of companionship
was filling our spirits.
We weren’t touching the ground,
as much as we were before.
It’s amazing how things
can change in a day.
Strangers, no more.
There were no strangers.
They couldn’t be anymore.
