Story of a journey

At the age of 17, I left Chile on a cargo ship, after completing High School. I lived in different places, such as several US states, the Canary Islands, Madrid, Barcelona, Andorra, Switzerland, Holland and Mexico, for more than 30 years, where I worked, studied, fell in love, went hungry, had sorrows and joys, and while I met interesting people of various colors and backgrounds, new horizons opened up for me, very different from those I had known in my childhood and adolescence, and that is how in 1996, in the Master’s of Psychology at the University of Santa Monica, California, they asked us to write an autobiography, which I started, and then, 25 years later, in the PhD in Psychology, at the Atlantic International University of Hawaii, they asked me to complete it, and that is how I now present these experiences in words -in English & Spanish- and images, as the story of a journey that keeps going on, and that I hope will leave you something enriching, in body and soul.

Relato de un andar

A los 17 años partí de Chile en un barco carguero, luego de completar la educación secundaria. Viví en diferentes lugares, como varios estados de EEUU, Islas Canarias, Madrid, Barcelona, Andorra, Suiza, Holanda y México, por más de 30 años, en donde trabajé, estudié, me enamoré, pasé hambre, penas y alegrías, y mientras conocía a gente interesante de variados colores e historiales, se me fueron abriendo nuevos horizontes, bien diferentes a aquellos que había conocido en mi infancia y adolescencia, y así fue como en 1996, en el Magíster en Psicología en la Universidad de Santa Mónica, California, nos pidieron escribir una autobiografía, la que comencé, y luego, 25 años después, en el Doctorado en Psicología, en la Atlantic International University de Hawái, me pidieron completarla, y así fue como ahora presento estas vivencias en palabras -en inglés y español- e imágenes, como el relato de un andar que sigue vigente, y que espero les deje algo enriquecedor, en el cuerpo y el alma.
